Now we don't usually post what could be seen as political posts here but Carolyn was a cognitive science education specialist, we know the importance of free (in every sense) play, parental involvement in child development and the devastating effects of stress on children's brains. Ironically much of the early scientific evidence of damage to incarcerated children's brains came from post-war work on the children of the holocaust, led by Reuvenstein Feuerstein. So we are posting this. It makes us weep.

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren
The trauma of forced separation can impair children's brains – studies show it impacts the emotional and cognitive development of an individual for years. We are no longer talking about immigration policy. We are talking about the well-being of the most vulnerable. I know our country is better than this, and I'll sound the alarm until every child is reunited with their parents. Tell your senators to support S.3036 to stop separating families. #FamiliesBelongTogether
