Tour Of Britain Day Cycle Race was a great success for the Town.

Tour of Britain Day was very successful for the town in helping promote Castle Douglas as an ideal location  to enjoy many outside pastimes including cycling,mountain biking,walking and generally appreciating the many natural features our area has to offer visitors.

 

          

   

The local producers Food market was successful and gave visitors an insite into the many excellent food & drink products we have available in our area. It was great to see many people taste the products on offer on the stalls and for some it was a"first time experience" to taste the quality of veal,venison,organic meats, smoked fish & meat and other  speciality foods.

The Chefs demonstartion tent was bursting at the seams especially when our two chefs Tom Kirkpatrick and Douglas Lisi went head to head in a "cook off"
